Data Deletion Instructions

How to ask FinanceGuru to delete the personal information you have shared with us, including on WhatsApp.

Effective date: 16 October 2026

1. What this covers

This page explains how to request deletion of personal information FinanceGuru holds about you. That includes your name, mobile number, email address, enquiry and eligibility details, documents you uploaded, and messages you exchanged with FinanceGuru on WhatsApp or through our website.

2. How to request deletion

Email rakeshkulkarni386@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request". Include your full name and the mobile number or email address you used with FinanceGuru. If you contacted us on WhatsApp, include the WhatsApp number you messaged us from.

Please do not send passwords, OTPs, card details or copies of identity documents.

3. Verification

To protect your information, we may confirm your request through the contact details you used with us before deleting anything.

4. What happens next

We will acknowledge your request and, once it is verified, delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, then confirm when it is done.

5. What we may need to keep

We may keep limited information where the law requires it (for example regulatory, tax or accounting records), to resolve disputes, or to prevent fraud, and only for as long as required.

If your application was already shared with a bank, NBFC or other institution with your consent, that institution's own retention rules apply to the copy it holds.

6. Your WhatsApp app and Meta

Deleting your data from FinanceGuru's records does not remove the chat from your own WhatsApp app, and does not affect information WhatsApp or Meta holds under its own privacy policy. You can delete the chat in WhatsApp yourself.
